This is my Max Tow with 315 70 17 KO2s on it on stock wheels with it sitting at stock height.

Here is it with a 2.5" Readylift installed

No issues but mines a Max tow. The Same wheels on my buddies Overland resulted in him rubbing the lower control arms at full lock.
So I can put 315 70 17s on my stock JT Sport S? Despite what the Walmart tire guide says? That would be incredible. And I may have missed it, but would there be a speedo issue?

If it's a max tow yes if it's just a regular sport s then no you will need wheels with more backspacing or wheel spacers to keep from hitting the lower control arms. Mines Max Tow so I have the wide track axles on mine.

yes you can. You’ll lose about 3 degrees of turning radius but it’s fine if you know it’s gonna happen, just don’t lock it all the way out when pulling a u turn.
Speedo on my Willies was off by 7% afterwards but it hasn’t affected drive ability whatsoever (caveat is that mines a diesel though).

I have 2.5 leveling lift and will be putting on 315 on Monday. Just curious for those who say they added a spacer, how much of a spacer ended up being the correct amount?

I know that too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

Hoping my Diesel Willys is able to make these not be really noticeable.

You won’t even notice them. 315s is kind of on the small side for today’s jeep people. I ran 37s on my overland eco with just a 2” spacer up front to level it out. I did have aftermarket wheels though. I would honestly go the washers in the steering way vs the wheel spacer way if I were you. You lose the smallest amount of turning radius but personally I like that better than spacers given your situation. I would guess that no more than a 3/8” spacer would work with the wheels, but finding hubcentric spacers that small might be a bit of a pain. 2 washers in your steering is all you would need.

Thanks. Yep. I think the 315 will be a decent compromise since this is my daily driver that I pull behind my motorhome which we are now full-time in. 5 weeks in Moab in April had me desiring for just a little extra than stock. I know it is not a huge difference, but I think it will help there and also the beaches on the west coast we are heading to for the summers. Afraid if I went all the way up to 37" and all that it entails would make the Jeep a little too uncomfortable for the on-road. This gives a little more height, more width, more traction.

Thanks for the tip on the steering spacer. Might just do that if a 1" spacer isn't the right option. If all it take is 1", that doesn't seem extreme. I am putting flares on the fenders to extend the coverage to hopefully avoid ticket in the States that are picky about that.

Yep, two washers on the bumps stops and the 315 are nice. Added the flares to the fenders to make sure I don't get a ticket in the finicky States...flares are cheaper than a ticket.

I put 1" spacers to make it work with a 2.5" leveling lift. Had a little rub on a bar with the back tire and now don't need the washer spacer under the turn-stop bolt. A single washer can prevent the excessive turn and rub, but the 1" spacer is better. Just consider also getting the fender flares to extend over the tires so you don't get a ticket in some states.
