Had a Dodge with 20’s, hated them. Made a 4wd look like a 2wd. I think the 17’s on my Gladiator are just right.
P. S. - Curved hat brims forever. While we’re on the subject, turn the damn brim around & wear it right!:)

Not used as a truck as there are no scratches in the bed. Lots of these are running "dubs" but no way we're having any of that. Though, as long as you're happy that's all that matters........

Am I the only one who likes the smaller rim bigger tire combo ?It seems all the nice looking rims are 20's and higher. Ugh!!! My hat brim is curved people.
Large rims with low profile tires belong on cars.
The functional reason they exist is to fit big brakes. Look at a 911 or Z06 Corvette. Those big rims are filled completely with HUUGGEEE brake rotors.

Big wheels with itty bitty brakes look ridiculous. (Like on most trucks with low profile tires).

High profile tires and small rims look "off roady".

Its funny. I'm 50ish and we had the worst cars ever.

In 1984 the Corvette had 205 hp.

The last V8 Jeep was in 1981 and had 121 hp.

Now you can buy a 300 hp Honda Civic. Or a 460 hp Jeep. Or a 800 hp pickup truck.

The 70s and 80s sucked as far as cars go. And lets not forget that the 80s were also the years of the Beneton sweater. When you couldn't even tell what was under it.

Nope. The kids these days have it way better.

Sure the 60s had cool cars. But they were pigs compared to even a decent family sedan these days.

p.s. Thinking of putting an LT1 out of a late model Camaro in my 65 Chevy convertible. Truly the best of all worlds. 460 hp stock with an 8 sp ZF replacing the 2 speed "power slide". And it will last for the rest of my life.

I’m 57. Your absolutely right about cars of today vs. yesterday. Your restomod idea sounds awesome. But there is still something about driving an older car just for the sake of driving it, for me anyway. My Gladiator has a nostalgic feel with a ton of modern conveniences, truly the best of both worlds as you said.
Now, if I could just do something about my
hair (or lack thereof)……
