I run 4.10's with my heavy JT. If Nitro Gear was going to do another batch of their 4.30's I would have gone that route, but they weren't available when the Air Lockers and gears were going. Not even sure if they did another batch.

4.10's with 37" tires brings the RPM range for the diesel back to the stock range of a diesel Gladiator. No complaints at all.

Photos of my RPMs for reference.

My main concern was the additional stress on the drivetrain with the large tires and I do feel this will be great in the long term.
I think the stress is still there just concentrated in the gears and axles.

You won't be happy with 4.10s
Only if he tows.

My first impression, MEH. I never felt that the diesel was underpowered with the 3.73’s
As much as it's a little powerhouse, it doesn't like to spool up, and I think that's what negates any seat-of-the-pants benefit.

what I didn’t like was rarely seeing 7th and never seeing 8th gear.
I just put 40s on with factory gears, adjusted the speedo, and mine seems content to stay in 8th doing 70mph @ 1600rpms.
