Installing Metalcloak Winchplate mount?

I'm having some interference issues when installing the metalcloak winch plate mount. when the main plate is tight against the front frame, I only have about the thickness of two credit card before contacting the swaybar disconnect. This doesn't give me enough room to have the rear support mounted to the main plate Any suggestions?

Have you tried rolling the sway bar motor?

I was only going to do that as a last resort, I would have though in the install instructions they would mention the possibility of needing to do that
