Winch Mount

Have a 2022 Mohave and got a Warn 103252 10k pound winch.
Going to install it on the stock JT bumper.
Are there other options besides the 300 dollar warn mounting plate??
I had an 86 CJ-7 and haven't touched a jeep since way back then. Already making the mistake of trying to do it myself so I don't want to screw this up!

I mean, for 400 dollars, which is how much the winch plate costs from warn, I could buy a new bumper with a mounting plate already on it? Or find a mounting plate that is cheaper. There have got to be some out there. Thanks again

I used a Bulldog winch plate in my Overland with the Rubicon steel bumper.

Weight was a concern for me. The stock steel bumper is heavy and when you add a winch and winch plate to it, the front end will sag a lot, probably below the safe limit for the shock valving. I got the Arcus bumper and with a 12k winch and steel cable, it added 101 lb over the stock bumper. The front end dropped 3/8 inch at the front of the fenders. It would have been less drop with synthetic rope, and if I left off the 20 lb front hooks that came with the Arcus.

I have a Warn winch and factory steel bumper with the Warn winch mount. No noticeable sag to report but I do have the synthetic rope. All I can say to add to this is that it all works together.

I am actually looking to add this setup to my JTM stock bumper. I am concerned with the added weight steel bumper, etc...

I have a JTR with Warn 12k winch. I used the Warn winch plate with Mopar steel bumper. I would caution you that all bumpers with builtin winch plate are not the same. Some are junk. I used the Warn plate because it is beefy and designed to carry the winch load regardless of the bumper in front of it. Just having a welded in mounting plate in a bumper is not the same in many cases. The adage that you get what you pay for is appropriate here.

You may or may not need to add a fairlead mount, depending on your bumper.

I just recently ordered a winch mount plate from American trail products for about $270 that should arrive in the next couple days. Looks like it should be just fine.
