Installing new hood decal before paint protection film (PPF) or after?

I will be installing a new hood decal "EXTORTION " to replace MOJAVE.

My question is, should I install the new decal before paint protection is done or afterwards. I have already removed the Mojave decals.

Before if you plan on having any kind of wax put on it the wax will need to be removed before putting the decals on.

Had to agree to a few "wants" that my wife wanted before she would agree to let me buy this Jeep.
