Truck has been outside sitting for 6 days in San Diego during a rainstorm. Got in, saw a wet spot, and....found this odd....

Video:

No drips anywhere topside. Truck is so dusty I'd see them even after they dried. Nothing on dash, seats, anywhere else. Once the door was opened it went away almost as fast as I could film.

Have you checked the carpet under your rubber floor mats in the front & rear foot wells on both sides of the Jeep to see if the carpet is damp, or soaked?
If so could be a leak somewhere else. When the truck is all closed up & heats up inside when parked in the sun, could be causing the condensation on the cooler shaded areas under the dash/firewall.

Just a thought.

Yeah, I think that is just temperature differential condensation. The inside air stayed warmer than the outside air. The fact the beading is concentrating primarily on the like plastic bits, probably just beaded up enough for it to form large enough water droplets to migrate down and leave the small water spot.

Your guess would be no leak then? It's been frigid 60 degree days and rain here for a week ( sorry...San Diego problems ) ...and today was 70F and sunny...

Off hand, I would say no but there has been some humidity changes inside that would cause the water beading from the moisture in the air of the cabin. 6 constant days of rain will allow moist humid air in the cabin over time.

Only other thing I can think of is you have a hard top, check the back window on the inside as they are known to eventually have cracked frames letting water droplets inside and migrate down the back inside wall or pool on the inside lip were the hardtop bolts to the cab. That water pooling and evaporating will increase the overall humidity levels and contribute the sweat beading you are seeing.

Humidity issues.
You should try Louisiana. The truck on my lift was dripping on the shop floor this morning.

You might want to check under the Armorlite, just in case.

I had a lot of condensation in the cab after the first bout of rain (here in So Cal). The carpet under the mats were damp. I removed and re-attached the freedom top thinking I must’ve not secured it well. Then this rain came and I went out to check shortly after the rain started and found water penetrating through the rear window seal. Not where the sliding window panel is but thee seal for the whole window.

Taking it in to the dealership tomorrow morning.

Funny....guess what I found yesterday? Yep. I am going to seal it myself .... no good dealer service centers anywhere near San Diego.

I took the trim piece off and found 2 sources of leaks.... the metal clips up top...1 on each side.
