Have you considered taking it to an independent shop and have them check it out? You'll pay for the diagnostic, assuming they are worth a damn, but they might be able to tell you what's actually wrong with it. No it shouldn't be pulling to the left like that.

Within spec doesn't always solve or even recognize the problem, especially if something else is jacked up. I would take it to a mechanics shop not a tire place. I've had alignments done (not on the JT) and everything checked out and was within spec at the dealership and at a laser guided quantum particle advanced alignment tire place (I made that title up) but the steering was still messed up. Dropped it off at the shop I use and he had it fixed in an hour aligning it "free hand" for lack of a better word. I want to say the toe was out of whack but I don't remember and it wouldn't necessarily be applicable in your case anyway.
EDIT: Oddly enough we've since had that same vehicle aligned again when we had new tires put on and it's jacked up again. I just haven't gotten around to taking it to get it fixed again.

I could see a seized or catching strut or shock causing an excessive bumpy ride as well as causing the truck to ride canted a little or maybe throw off the camber on one side and cause a pull. I'm not a mechanic though. I'm just speculating with no basis at this point.

You are incorrect.
Evan the Jeep website states that there are 10 models (ie trim levels). The Sport S is listed as a separate model. Sport S is a trim level, just like Willy Sport, etc.
If Sport S was Sport you would just build a Sport with options and no need to even list or have the S as a choice,. Many options available on the Sport S are not available on the Sport. If it was the same trim there would only be a Sport on Jeep and you build that out with options.

Feel free to go build a Sport trim level. There are only 4 packages. You cannot get safety features, 8.4 screen, etc.
Sport S is a trim level that offers more equipment and is identifiable as such.
