New owner of a Sting Gray JT Rubicon and wanted to say hello. Short story, long... I owned an 88 YJ (bought used in '91) and had a lot of fun with that. I sold it in '94 due to a new commute. Since then, I've owned anything and everything except Jeeps. A few years ago, I bought my daughter a JKUR Hard Rock and suddenly, my interest in Jeeps came back. I ended up buying a Trackhawk followed by another Trackhawk (first one was bought back by FCA). I recently bought my daughter a JLUR to replace her JK and saw the Gladiator at the dealership. The hunt began. This Monday, I found what I was looking for and drove it back to LA this week. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I am replacing a 2014 Raptor with the JT. To me, it is a good replacement. Let the mods begin...

First pic is at the dealer. I had them install the Mopar 2" lift, 35" Nitto's and decided on the Mopar wheels used on the Auto Show Gladiator. I liked the look of that JT (other than the painted fenders, but that was a personal preference) and figured I would copy it. Pic 2 and 3 are during my first fill up on the way home.

Of course, on the way home, I drove through St. George, Utah, where the 4x4 winterfest was just kicking off. I couldn't stop to have some fun. Next time.

Anyhow, looking forward to learning and contributing.

Mark

Thanks. Great color. Now if they had Rhino Clearcoat, I'd have a hard time deciding. Your pic in your icon/whatever its called is what got me hooked on the JT. Nice.

Its the picture that got me hooked too. I wish it was mine but its a factory picture I stole. Lol! I have had mine for a few weeks now and absolutely love this thing. I have 2" Mopar lift with stock rims and tires for now. Putting kids through college is expensive and so is travel baseball. I will have to upgrade slowly until my bonus gets here. Not to mention I haven't quite decided what aftermarket brands I want to deal with yet. I want to make the right decisions and not have to buy things multiple times because they were not what I thought they would be. I look forward to watching what you do with yours because so far it looks amazing.

Off-topic but you don't happen to be the guy I accosted in the Salsbury parking lot the other day? Had a SG JTR but I thought he said it was stock height. Either way, he seemed to really like his as well.

No that wasn't me although it does happen to me pretty often. I tried to talk with Salsbury in September and they wouldn't do anything under MSRP. If you see another SG JTR with stock rims and tires on a 2" lift around BTR, come say hi.

I'll keep an eye out. Don't see many rubicons so you should stand out.

Welcome back to the Jeep world!

My JKU was Rhino. LOVED that color. I let my wife pick the color on this one. Stingray! She picked perfect, and so did you!

thanks. The JKUR was Rhino as well (daughter’s pick). I ended up getting the Rhino Trackhawk because I liked the color so much. Daughter picked Sting Gray for her JLUR, and I had no choice but to get Sting Gray for the JT. Such a great color.
