This is totally a "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" thing.

We have all three combinations.....

Wife's - Hydro blue Rubicon- 1/2 paint - black roof but has blue painted fenders

Mine - Sting grey Rubicon - all painted - roof and fenders.

Sons- Gator Sport S max tow - no paint - black roof and black fenders.

Conclusion... they all look great!... just for different reasons.

You should buy what looks good to you.... not us.

Last thought, Im sure if you bought the red roof and didn't like it, there would be someone else that would love to give you a couple hundred bucks and trade for his black roof.

Truth is I dont know... I didn't see anything that shows the dealer charged me for tint, and I agree its not factory clear.....

Both vehicles were purchased same day at same dealer about 2 weeks ago.

SO...... Sorry I have no idea, and I didn't do it.

Either way Its not that dark, so it's some shade that is AZ legal. Im guessing 35%?

And... thanks for saying it looks good.

Not too much red in my opinion. I have a red soft top but if I wanted a hard top would have opted for the color match...

No lift.
No Spacers.

Completely stock suspension and planning to keep it that way.
I didn't want, and won't change to 37's.

Rims are - Black Rhino Shredders 20 inch ( 20 x 9.5 5-127 +0 ) Gunmetal grey w/ Black trim ring

Tires are the exact same as stock factory... just bigger. Falken Wildpeak M/T ( 35 x 12.50 R20/E)

I have more pictures on here if you search some of my posts.

Hope this helps.

I have the black top & fenders (max tow fenders changed to bushwackers) on my Red truck and would of preferred all the same color. Looks more complete in my opinion. With the black fenders and red top I would of bought metal aftermarket fenders & had them painted or powdercoated to match. I think it just looks sharp.

I prefer the color matched top in the bright colors and the black on the drab or urban colors.

Found a decent deal on a red Launch edition which comes with a color matched top. Even though I would only have the hard top on for 3-4 months during the winter I'm thinking it would be too much red. Thoughts?

That ain’t too red to me. Maybe with body color fender flares, but this looks good. A black decal on the doors would mute it even more. Snag the deal!
