As others have stated, remove the bolt from the door hold-open bracket and push the bracket into the door (see red oval in pic).

Our husky can hop in, but often chooses not to, since apparently Kings don't jump, they get carried. It's kindof irritating when it's one bound from asphalt to seats in his grandmother's jeep, and front paws in, head-turning for help in ours.

Our golden has a whole different problem, where he again can jump in, and always used to, and it's now far easier than it was since we removed the back seats so he needs to jump about a foot less than he used to, but instead he looks up, can see SomethingHasChangedOMGWhatsWrongWithTheWorldHEEELLLP and just starts running in circles.

I’ve got a large German Shepard that’s having issues getting into the backseat of my gladiator since the door doesn’t open very far. This is my first Jeep so I’m not sure what good solutions there are. All help is appreciated
My previous 9 year old Shepherds was big (31 1/2" at shoulder, 165 pounds) he was getting some arthritic , I had a set of plastic steps that helped him get in. My current 4 year old Shepherd Rescue is not quite as big (29 1/2" 100 pounds) he uses running board and pulls himself in. Both loved to ride. My son's 3-4 year old rescue 50 pound lab mix just jumps in my Gladiator and his Dodge Ram.
