I think most who complain are those like me who want a simple 5.7 as an optional engine choice, rather than a high power limited run engine. They may be listening to the consumer, but it seems like they are not hearing the consumer. I like many others want a simple v8 option on any trim level at a reasonable price increase.

Forget v8, i want a small diesel :D

I just want more power. Honestly, I do not care how I get it, but a small V8, turbo v6, diesel engine would have over 350 ft-lbs of torque. The Corporate 3.6 in the Jeep is underpowered and does not offer enough torque for what it is, and what it is asked to do.

What are you doing with your jeep that 285hp doesn't get done? I get it, I don't know why it doesn't have hurricane option.


Jeep detuned the v6 in jeeps to help them stay cool at slow speed off-roading in hot climates, you can use a tuner and get that 300hp out of it, maybe more on 91 or 93 tune, maybe (310ish)but then you are running a premium tune.

Which is the same thing you'd be doing with the hurri turbo engine, you'd be running 91+ octane to get it's full power (it detunes if you use 87) and I'm not sure many here are gonna want to be doing fill ups on premium fuel in their jeeps lol.


My mustang with the gen4 coyote engine makes it's 480hp with 91+ octane, it automatically changes it's tune based on fuel used, and can run 87 just fine (road tripping GT stuff) but it's only making 450-460hp on 87.


I just don't know if I'd want to be filling up with 91+ octane fuel in the jeep. Thus why i normally say I'd rather have a diesel and get the extra mpg and better low rpm torque than just a peeky high power turbo engine.

The ecodiesel is a gem. More power feel with stock gears and 37s than a gasser with stock gears and 33s. Pulls trailers and crawls up rocks.

The diesel is not without problems. A big pushrod V8 sounds great.

It also includes the parts that were removed if you want them according to the video. So you get the factory doors. I wonder if it had the hardtop and freedom panels originally.

Im wondering if they'll make the recipients sign a binding document stating they can't sell it for X amount of time? Then Im also curious the #250 goes to auction and sells big, what the value of the other 249 will run up to, since they'll be extremely limited
