I know of a few guys waiting on this. If it has a Power Wagon option. It will sell.
This was my question to the salesman before buying the JT, will the Dakota be coming soon ? I just wish I had done my homework a little better before buying the JT. I like it just fine and hope to overcome the po300 blues that a brand new vehicle should not have. I had a Dakota SWB reg cab LE with the V8 back in the day and sold it to my nephew that ran it to 298 K before wrecking it. Only issues was normal things, brakes, battery, water pump.

Sounds like you just need to give it to me. I’ll take it out and enjoy it. I’ll continue the build process for what else is needed and send you pix of its progression. That thing needs driven. That’s like buying a bottle of whiskey but never opening it to try it. All things made were meant to be used.

Not really much of a plan, pretty much a knee jerk reaction impulse buy. I thought it would come in handy as a small truck plus playing bolt on and looking at it in the driveway. It’s fun to drive in good weather but now it’s too hot to have the top off unless it’s 6 am. I’ve always enjoyed jeeps, have had 7 but with my work schedule the reality of it is coming to the surface. Now that I’ve done most of the logical mods (lift, wheels, tires, gears, steering, lighting, winch, etc) im not sure I want to go to the next level, not only because of cost but also reduced drivability, resale, and practicality. When I don’t have anything to wrench of it I get bored.

Man- sounds like you need to start wheeling it harder on those two days a week.

While I can understand the pause factor of its built now what. Wheel it and see what breaks. Then your process kind of starts over.

Is the 5 link rear still on??

Factory mounts on the axles.

??‍♂ I don’t know where you live or really how badass the build is. If it’s that good, and that I breakable, sure sell it. Start over with something else then. Find an LJ and build the Piss out of that. Do the entire thing this time. 2.8 Cummins, 8 speed, atlas, through tub coil overs.

7 jeeps- get into fabbing- bend your own stuff, justify a 4x4 plasma cnc- build your own brackets. Go harder man! ??

Anyone ever have their Jeep enthusiasm start to wane? Mine sort of is. Not because I don’t like to product but rather it’s just sort of run it’s course with the time I have available to dedicate to it. My JT has less than 2500 miles on it since new in August 2020. I’ve thrown a ton of money into it and don’t regret any of it but I’m sort of to the point that tons and possibly a hemi swap are kind of the next thing besides small convenience items, I’m not sure I want to throw another $15k for axles or even more for a motor swap. I enjoy modding it but have done most of the typical stuff. Now it pretty much sits. I drive a company truck all week. Am I crazy for taking advantage of the market demand and considering selling it? I still have 2 other Jeeps in the stable (JLUR and CJ7).
I have a 21 with over 21k on the clock each to their own but why throw all that money into something you don't use seems kind of pointless to me and being a 20 you probably already paid a premium price sell it while prices are high

I actually paid about 8% under sticker. And yes I have parted ways with it since my original post. Don’t miss it at all. Just wondering what to do with a slew of factory parts: fenders, grill, wheels, suspension, bumpers, etc.

That's not bad they were sticking it to people here when they first came out jeep parts never die they just get passed around you shouldn't have trouble dumping them good luck

My enthusiasm to "wrench"/modify is gone. My next vehicle, I'll pay a premium to have it come from the factory with what I want. With 2 kids, I feel like any time I need to actually work on the Jeep, I'm super rushed. I hate having to sprint through things. I have 20 other things that need to be done, and spending hours and hours for "fun" on the Jeep just isn't in the cards. If I want to get anything done, usually I'll take a day off work so I feel like I have the time. I bought a Sport S MT, and now it is fully built, 37s, lift, re-geared. It's done and I have zero desire to keep modding.

But wheeling/camping time? Can't get enough. Lately my modding obsession has been replaced by Magic the gathering (go figure), RC cars, and doing anything outdoorsy with my kids. As Blink 182 famously said,

I guess this is growing up!
