JScan Features Question

Wondering if anyone can tell me whether JScan offers the following:

* Enable bed outlet
* Enable aux switches
* Disable license plate lights during reverse
* Code out FAD (i.e. no codes for removing FAD)

I assume it has basic stuff like tire size and gear ratio changes, but wondering about these "enable/disable" type features.

My Tazer Mini has oddly started to become unreliable. Second time in a month that the dash menu no longer recognizes it, and my license plate lights are back...so I assume it's a similar issue again, and last time it was an absolute nightmare restoring it.

To start with, I do not have Jscan. I use AlfaOBD and the Tazer.
But the license plate blanking is a "live feature" of the Tazer. It can not be enabled or replicated in the vehicle programing. Everything else I believe can be, so Jscan should be able to handle that.

Also, with the Tazer, make sure you have updated it to the most recent firmware, you have correctly done the full reboot and two sleep cycles, and it is firmly connected. When I originally installed mine back in 2021, I just plugged it in and let it hang up behind the dash. I noticed it would sometimes get wonky, and when It did I simply pushed the connectors in tight, and that seemed to fix it. Eventually I just bought a 3D printed mounting bracket from a guy on Etsy, and have not had that issue since.

It draws power for the live features. It also draws power for a set time (30 seconds? Minutes?) after shutoff to allow things like homelink to work even after shutdown.

Which makes sense, but I don't know why it would "die" on me if the main battery was under voltage (~9-10 volts...yes, I need to resolve that, but if the Jeep starts...the Tazer should get power).

Jscan has a good facebook page and messages get read and replied to, by other Jscan users along with what appears to be Jscan personnel.

You can download the Jscan app for free and do a "demo mode" that will let you play around with it to explore what is in it

Which makes sense, but I don't know why it would "die" on me if the main battery was under voltage (~9-10 volts...yes, I need to resolve that, but if the Jeep starts...the Tazer should get power).

Could it be with what are technically dead batteries, that when it cranks to start, it drops the voltage so much as to mess with the tazer?
Frankly, I'd fix the voltage thing first - it might just resolved other issues.

Yea, possibly. Ordered a replacement battery...now to try and restore the Tazer...

Just an update: tried connecting the Tazer to my Surface Pro (Windows 11)...nothing. So I brought the Tazer inside and connected to my desktop...it immediately recognized and said it was running the latest firmware. Oddly, I couldn't restore/reinstall the firmware...app kept freezing/crashing.

So I took it back outside and reinstalled the Tazer into the Jeep and...it works! Makes no sense...I didn't have to do anything to it. The wires were definitely plugged in and secure.

It always seemed plugged in and secure. Obviously it was not, because once I installed it in a secure mount it never happened again.

Will it work with a 25?
It's a lot different up there, bars and all, compared to the 22 I had. I had to rethink a few things on this 25 and getting to the module was a whole lot harder. Even the Redarc brake controller box has to sit differently.
