Thank you for the shout out @Bannongmu. We can't wait to see them mounted on your Gladiator. After a ton of research and agonizing, I pulled the trigger on 37x12.50r17 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZP3 tires. Shopped around and forum sponsor @Discount Tire have a great price and had them so they’ll be here soon. I’ll report back when they are on (and report on any rub with stock setup since a lift is on my Xmas list).
I have those on my Jk in 35's. They have been workhorses for sure. Great tires, but pretty sus in rain. Everything else they are great inAfter a ton of research and agonizing, I pulled the trigger on 37x12.50r17 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZP3 tires. Not to be rude but not everything overseas is bad. Bet your clothes are usa made too right? Thanks but I have zero flexibility on USA made, by a USA company.
Many of my clothes are made in the USA. Checkout All American clothing. All of my Appliances, many of my tools, etc are USA made. Not saying it’s bad to get things overseas. Just prefer to support American companies, jobs and workers whenever I can and tires are an easy place to do this. Not to be rude but not everything overseas is bad. So far, so good - all on road. Too busy with work to get off road anywhere. Hoping to flex it a little this weekend to see if/where it rubs, take some measurements and film some video for YouTube https://www.youtube.com/c/JTRSpartacus . Definitely feel the heavier tires and reduced gearing effect but it’s not terrible and it’s a manual transmission so it’s easy enough to pick the lower gear. The tires are a bit louder than the stock Wildpeaks but not offensive. I live in hilly PA and tow a 7x14 ATV trailer so I’ll probably regear in the future but if I lived somewhere flatter and never towed, I think 4.10 gears would be ok. Hopefully have news after this weekend - weather and work/family commitments permitting. Thanks for checking in.So, how's it going with the 37s. I have a Rubi LE and when the 33s have run their course I'm considering 35s or 37s with stock Rubi height. Truck looks sweet.
