Ok. We need to solidify numbers by January.
Then we can work out camping vs airbnb.
I know this: We should plan on camping on the Alpine Loop unless the group wants to power through on a very long day of driving.

My time off is approved so I am there rain or shine.
I am down for Alpine Loop.

I should be able to make that. I'm hoping by that point I have a bed rack and rooftop tent. Worse case I have a ground tent. I've been trying to do more camping any way.

I'm seeing at least 6 confirmed. I'm down for a mix of camping and maybe and airbnb.
Figure if we arrive on Tuesday, then rest up. We wheel the big stuff on Wednesday. Then plan Thursday and Friday for the loop. Maybe grab an airbnb then on Friday night.
Last year I drove from the springs and immediately did Ophir and Imogene. Not the best plan when you are punchy and tired.
I will probably grab a rotopax or two before the trip. bit of extra fuel can't hurt.

I have been planning a late July SW Colorado trip with some work buddies. I lived in Telluride for 5 years. Maybe we combine forces for part of this trip?

Yep. Only requirements are be chill and bring a GMRS.

Don't care what you drive or where you are from. Just want to have a good time with like minded people and get everyone across the finish line safe.

No egos or bullshit. It's my vacation. Guys are taking off work for this. If you want to wheel, do cool shit and swap stories around a fire over drinks. Jump in.

Planning on leaving July 26 for Ouray. July 27: Wheel hard. Ophir and Imogene for a warm up then hit Black Bear and Yankee Boy (beautiful views). Then libations etc.
July 28th Engineer Pass and Alpine Loop with Poughkeepsie Gulch. 5 BOH trails. (this may be a two day as the loop is a good 7 hours.

My experience is that weekdays are much less crowded.

@Chargingstar @FR33DOM @Summitdan @Waggs Plenty of time to plan this one. Anyone else is welcome to join.

Asking for GMRS and chill people.
Sounds amazing but I’ll be living the van life for the month of July! Hope it is a blast for you all!

Let me talk to my wife and buddy. My buddy and I have been talking about this around this time

If its just me, I'm down with whatever kind of lodging there is

If he comes with us we'll definitely camp and have a WJ with us
