Just installed Mopar steel bumper with LED fogs

Hi team,
I replaced my OEM factory bumper with incandescent fogs with a OEM steel bumper with factory LED fog lights. Initially they worked as designed but now the fogs are flickering. My understanding was nothing special was required for the fogs. Do I need to install a resister? checked all pins and didnt find any issues. Any ideas would be appreciated.

If your jeep came with halogen lights from the factory your probably going to have to buy a tazer mini or take it to the dealership

Mine came with the LED light group And the sissy plastic bumper. I scored a Rubicon hard rock bumper off FB marketplace for $140 and picked up adapters on Amazon for $20. Score…

You need to update the computer to tell it you have replaced the halogen with LED lights. Jscan, AlfaOBD, Tazer, or a trip to the dealer should fix it.

I bought those adapters and they were crap, no fit. They weren't deep enough and the lights were shoved against the bumper hard before the bracket would touch. .
I bought them a couple of months before I needed them so I couldn't send them back. I ended up using the adapters that came with my eBay bumper.

This is a heck of a difference.

Interesting. My bumper is off a 2013 Rubicon Hard Rock so it’s possible the internal dimensions are different. The LED lights off my 2022 fit perfectly with these adapters.

ShadowsPapa, so here is a question... If I had halogen but I installed both LED headlights and taillights(with resistor), will changing to LED through a JSCAN or AlfaOBD affect the new headlights and taillights?

No the fogs are a different setting. However, if you go with Jscan might as well turn on the LED headlights and tail lights and remove resistors. You can download Jscan for free, tap demo and you can see all the settings without a license or hardware.
