I ordered a Red Mojave on Friday 4/1 from Travis at Tri-City. What was interesting, or annoying I should say, is that Jeep is now requiring the leather and Gorilla Glass selection on Mojave.

Cool let me know if you hear anything and I’ll do the same..
Yeah that is annoying and doesn't make sense. I ordered from Tri City a year ago and if I had to have leather with a soft top I might have had to go with another model.

You can build it on Jeep.com without having to have leather or Gorilla glass. That site is behind what's current I believe.

My Mojave build is now about $3k more than when I ordered it in March 2021. :surprised:

Weird, must have been a change on 4/1 - I ordered a week before and was able to get cloth seats (still got the Gorilla glass, but it was an option, not required).

I wonder if next model year will have leather and Gorilla glass built in to the base price
Yes I would assume they would have it built in to the base soon enough but is really that hard to change the build site first FCA?
I would have preferred to have the saddle brown leather option if forced to pick but what can you do other than change to a Rubicon…

Hmm. I ordered my pretty loaded JTR 2/25 and they still haven't begun building yet. If it's on the same schedule as yours I will receive mine April 10. Jeep says April 17, but my dealer laughed and said 1st week of May.
My dealer contacted me and mine is in framing and should be at dealer April 17, but he said probably first week of May.

going to be ordering any day now. does any one know if the leather and gorilla glass is now a requirement for all rubicons or is it tied to a specific other option or package? like the winch bumper automatically requires premium led light package? thanks guys

Be sure to post back here when you receive it - I'm curious if both of our Mojaves ordered on the same day will progress through the build queue at the same time
Dealer called, D1 status now with an estimated ship date of 4/28. Anticipation intensifying.

Nice. I'm in D1, too, with an expected ship date of 5/2. I wonder what options I have set me back further.

Here's a rundown of my build:
  • 3.6L V6 Engine
  • 8-SPD Auto 850RE Transmission
  • Cloth Seats
  • Granite Crystal Metallic Paint
  • Black 3-Piece Hard Top
  • Black Fender Flares
  • Front License Plate Bracket
  • Corning Gorilla Glass
  • Safety Group
  • Advanced Safety Group
  • LED Lighting Group
  • Auxiliary Switch Group
  • Cold Weather Group with Remote Start
  • Trailer Tow Package
  • Integrated TrailCam
  • Trail Rail Management System
  • MOPAR All-Weather Slush Mats
  • MOPAR Hard Top Headliner
  • MOPAR Spray-in Bedliner
  • MOPAR Grab Handles
I'm wondering if it's the bedliner and the other MOPAR parts that added a couple days to mine.

Our builds are very very close. No Trail Rail, mats or grab handles for me. I did go with leather (was the wife's one request). Mine's Sarge Green so it could be their paint scheduling I suppose. I was hoping for delivery by June, so if this holds I am stoked.

Ordered my gladiator today.

‘22 rubicon in Gobi with brown leather interior.

LED Group, Safety Group, Cold Weather Group, Tow Package. Color matched fenders and roof.

I’ll be pulling a 19’ airstream that I purchased this morning also.

I created this account in 2017 (hence the name StingGray). Funny to return now having never pulled the trigger on a preorder back then.

Seems like several of us are in the same build schedule. According to the dealer, am in build status now and scheduled to ship at end of month. Looking forward to seeing all the pics of these new JT's.

6 weeks in KZ status. I'm beyond frustrated at this point. I sold my car based on the original eta the dealer was given. @JeepCares nobody seems to have an answer.

Mine was put in 5 days after yours. Gupton said they would ask their rep if they could find anything out but I am not getting my hopes up on it.
