I had my VON/VIN within two days of placing my order on 4/12. I received notice that my build went to D1 status on 4/26. Since then, no other information has been passed along to me and none of the tracking websites show anything further.

Ain't the wait fun?
Rather odd that 5 days and no VON. First time around it was pretty quick. And it seems that even now many at least get that part fairly soon. We'll see......... at least I have this one until then!

Checking in! I just ordered and received my VON today. I'll be replacing my 2017 Gobi Rubicon Wrangler with a 2022 Gobi Rubicon Gladiator! I'm very excited and have just started diving through all the forums to learn what I can before it gets here.

It is strange that you haven’t received at least a VON yet (at least from what I’ve gleaned from the forum posts.) Hopefully you’ll have something soon.
If it weren’t for already having a gladiator to play with, I’d have driven myself (and my dealer) crazy.

That's all that is keeping me from going nuts with lack of patience. By nature, I have no patience anyway - having my reliable, trusty and cool 2020 is saving my dealer right now.
He said he wants to keep me informed with each step as he knows I've got a lot of stuff to take off mine, that I want to leave it on as long as possible, but need time to take it off when the time comes.
I got the email from Jeep thanking for the order, but their process for texting me updates is broken so I'm relying 100% on the sales guy. He did a good job first time around keeping me in the loop. He even contacted me on a Sunday night and said he saw the truck was shipping out. (then at 7:30 am that Tuesday he emailed me a picture of it, just off the truck)

I thought you usually got the VON within a day or two of placing the order and a VIN a few days after that. Maybe give him another call?

I have the VON now but there's nothing really to do with it until I get a VIN, I guess.

It took me two years, but I finally figured it out - VON stands for:
Vehicle Order Number
Call me slow, I guess!

Just joined - first post! I've been waffling over a Gladiator purchase for the better part of two years, and finally took the plunge this weekend. Got quotes from several of the "go-to" dealers including Gupton Motors in TN, Koons Tysons Corner VA, Chapman in Horsham PA, plus my two closest dealers.

Ultimately ordered from Chapman Jeep in Horsham. 3% under invoice advertised plainly on their website, incredibly responsive to emails, straightforward pricing w/ no additional fees. They ended up being within roughly ~$600 of Gupton when travel costs were taken into account - worth it for the lack of hassle. Order placed Saturday, 5/7. VON received immediately. Supposed to have VIN today, 5/9.

I waffled over every option (except auto, was never an option no matter how good it is). Power vs manual windows/locks, everything from Sport to Rubicon/Mojave, and every individual option. Ultimately - for me, going to Sport S inevitably sent me down the slippery slope of "why not just go with a Rubicon". With 2022 getting Android Auto/Carplay in the base models, that addressed my only necessity that wasn't available in the base 2021. I decided I'd embrace the basic nature of the vehicle, and celebrate the fact that I could still buy a dual solid axle, manual windows, manual locks, manual trans vehicle in 2022.

2022 Gladiator Willys Sport 3.6/6MT
Sarge Green/Black Cloth
Tow package
Aux switch package
Mopar spray-in bedliner
Total @ 3% under invoice: $39,448.93 + tax, tags, title, and $422 doc fee.

I've had a number of beater XJs, but this will be my first soft-top Jeep of any kind. I've had 80+ cars, 5 Miatas, dozens of VWs, some minivans, trucks, and the like. I'm pretty confident that the Gladiator is the culmination of what I'm looking for in a jack-of-all-trades version of everything I've owned. Manual, truck, convertible, solid back seat size for my kids (I'm tall, will be adding seat slammers to driver's seat immediately), tows enough for normal utility trailer needs - everything else is a bonus.

I have a baaaad feeling about mine. Ordered 5/2, got the VON - still no VIN, no nothing. Last time around I had a VIN by this time. I have to wonder though if they don't work them in in order of dealer status and volume. Dunno, but first time went quickly, this time not so fast.
You ordered 5 days after I did and have a VIN.
Oh, well - I still have this one!

I don't have a VIN yet - just dealer indicating I should have one by today. I'm chatting w/ Jeep support now to see if the VIN has been assigned yet.

I’m finally in JS status, hopefully not much longer now until I get it.

It is my understanding that your ship date is actually the date it will be built. I could be wrong though.
