Well, I swapped out the engine and cabin air filters last night to the K&N offered product. As of this post, I can't report much of anything regarding their performance, however I was surprised at how dirty the OEM filters were and my JT is only at 8800 miles. The cabin filter was full of particulate. Good to know they were doing their job, just surprising. I'll use this as a public service announcement to check your own!

I didn't know my JT had a cabin filter. Where is it?
It's behind the glove compartment. You'll need to release the latch on the left side when opened and then release the tab at the top and the whole compartment comes right out. You'll see the cabin air filter right away. Like I mentioned, mine was dirtier than I expected after only 8800 miles.

Uh... aren't you "supposed" to replace them like every 5kmi or 6months or something? They do get dirty quickly, general grossness from cities and pollen and other natural junk if more rural. Obviously some places will foul them up faster than others.
