2 things,
1: what stock tire did you have the AT or MT?

2: can you buy the patagonias and do another decibel test?
So mine is the Overland model, so the stock tire was actually an H/T tire.

If anyone would like to contribute to a GoFundMe, I’d be happy to buy the Patagonia’s, haha.

As a micro-update, I’ve got maybe 3,500 miles on the Grapplers, and the last 1,000 miles has been towing a 4K lb cargo trailer. I’m still super happy with the tires. No complaints at all.

I find it amusing that as we get older we are so concerned with the road noise of tires, even measuring the decibels. Lol. Remember when we were young (and for me my first Jeep at 18) and all we wanted was the biggest, most aggressive tires (probably super swamper)? And we loved the hum of the tire! Funny how things change !

Haha, it's so true. The 18 yr old me would be so disappointed.

I was 19 when I bought my CJ5. And I immediately put 35x14.5 Boggers on it, haha. And loved every minute of it.

I always have to remind myself that the “old” Randy would kick the “new” Randy’s ass ! Love that picture of the CJ5! Brings back some great memories!

Haha. For sure. I had a system (usually a pair of 12” subs) in every car I owned. So glad to see car manufacturers have teamed up with audio manufacturers and put decent systems in newer vehicles. It’s definitely not the “hit” I was once accustomed to, but things change with age I guess.

OH yeah, so much easier to get a better stock stereo then adding amp speakers, subs. More room for a rifle box under the rear seats.

I agree. For me, the reality is I'll spend vastly more time on the road than off, so I'll get more benefit from less road noise than I would additional off-road traction.

I'm headed out to Cape Lookout on the OBX in a couple of wheels and will be towing an adventure trailer for camping on the beach. I anticipate these doing very well, but if there are any surprises I'll post a follow up.

I'll also mention these bad boys are heavy. Mounted on my 17x8.5 Icon Rebound wheels, the combo weighed in at 101. Compared with the stock tires on 18" Overland wheels at 61 lbs.
My Sport S w Max Tow will be here tomorrow and I have Ridge Grapplers 35x12.5x17 and want the Icon Rebounds. Is a -6” offset going to be outside the fender at all and did yours hit anything?
