You cannot. Find the key fob, or have it towed to the dealer for repair. The selling dealer may be able to order a replacement fob, but they still need access to the truck to pair it. You should have received two fobs with the truck.

Keeping your key fob in the cab of your vehicle will prematurely wear out the fob battery and over time your vehicle battery, as the electronics in your vehicle are sensing your fob all the time. As for replacing a lost or damaged key fob, besides the dealer, here in Florida at our Costco, there is a vendor who will replace/program your key fob ...... takes about an hour, and is much, much cheaper cost than the dealer.

Associated topic, just took my daughter to the Tesla dealer to deal with a cracked windshield and some repairs to the trim, and they asked her to give them the key. She normally uses her phone to do all functions with the car so I was wondering what she uses as a key for valet etc. She pulls out a credit card (A FREAKING CREDIT CARD LOOKING THING!!!!!) and she tells me you just tap it on the door frame...

I then pulled out my Godzilla key fob, took a good long hard look...

And cursed at it... The dealer folks though that was funny

I’ve seen the after market slimmer smaller key fobs and the companies that will program over your existing fob to one of the slimmer smaller ones.

Sometimes it’s real tempting . . . . .
