I gave up on that as I write this I am having my Transmission replaced @JTGuy mine just literally decided it didn't matter cold hot lukewarm or any temp if it didn't want to it wouldn't
I actually am excited it is getting corrected , aint sad at all. It will be a relief just to have the ability to go into Reverse when I need to .
I will however be using it less frequently and I aint do the forward and reverse pausing and rocking to get unstuck either.

Are you getting one that will be better than the one you have now . Are there any new and better parts in it.
I found a 2024 model with 6064 miles on it out of a Wrangler. The later models dont have the transmission heater bypass in them . Other than that Chrysler told me when I ran the Vin to confirm its mileage and type etc. ( I wanted to make extra sure) that it indeed was the exact same transmission.
@Maximus Gladius end3d up with an 850RE that was minus the heater bypass valve also . So now the fluid just circulates all the way through the transmission cooler and doesn't have to reach 160 or 180 before circulating through the lines into the transmission cooler.

the TCM will "learn" the drivers habits and driving style and his shift point would adjust itself
Obviously the speedometer will still be wrong, but I believe them on the shift points. This is my first automatic in 20+ years and I've noticed that the Jeep is now shifting at the same time I reach for the shifter.

Yes then He can go in with the tazer if it seems too under powered. But as I have stated many have had to set the tire size smaller .so with dealer setting it to 35 it may be just right. Just like Goldylocks.

Why?

As to why that valve was eliminated on the transmission heater ?? Dunno .🤷
Maybe $$$$$$$. ?

I would want mine to warm up quickly in our cold temps, especially when I'm going to plow snow. Don't want a cold transmission. So I'd prefer to bypass the cooler. But what do you do? Take it really easy until the trans is warm.

I guess it may have been viewed as not needed. With 86° being the first fluid ✔ check spot and 120° the max before fluid expansion. I know even on a cold winters day when its like 15 degrees outside. I always just remote start mine and the engine warms rather quickly so the fluid being able to circulate immediately is gonna help on cold mornings I am surmising. I could be wrong ?? Am I thinking backwards?

No, you may have something there....... coolant warms pretty quickly.

His speedometer will be off and He will need to adjust tire size in the computer with a tazer or flash cal + but the transmission is in the learn process and they are correct in that part The speed sensor is located in the transmission. Often times the taper or flash cal will have to be set with size size slightly under what the actual size of the tire is or it will have no power at all.
I set mine for 35 and it was like driving a snail. Then I let the flashcal + do a tire wizard calibration and it set the tire size at 33.25 ( tires say 35x12.50x17 ) thing felt like it picked up 50 horse power instantly.
Many guys have posted in here that placing the stated size in with the taper makes it pull terrible and had to lower down the tire size.
Get the Jscan and its easy to set the tire size.

I have thought of getting the Jscan just to set tire size and diff gears. Then install the Tazer for everything else so when it is removed it will go back to what is actually there. I just don't want to fall farther into the rabbit hole that I am already in.
