Hello all,

I am looking to lease a Gladiator - I want a Sport with Max tow package. I have found several that are around 42K-44K with those options. I would prefer to put no money down or minimal say $1000. I live in Upstate NY. I need my lease payment to come in at $400 or less. Is this possible with the current numbers? Seems that people were getting this deal all day long back in January February. Most dealers are coming back with $520 payments - I could almost buy it for that price. I am willing to travel to get one. Is this just not realistic now? I also can wait if this deals get better in fall. I already have a 2018 Jeep Unlimited Rubicon. This is a second vehicle for our family. Really wanted to have a truck bed and love all my Wranglers so this seemed to me the obvious choice. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The residual values on the gladiator have fallen by over 10% since their peaks pre-COVID which is why you are seeing much better lease pricing earlier in the year versus now. Combined with very limited inventory, and dealers not really willing to take looser deals, it's hard to reach the 7% off invoice pre-incentive discount target now (especially in NY).

However, a $42K Sport should be doable right around $400/mo -- I am calculating $413/mo with only first month due at signing. The trick is to find one with the VIN specific rebate would should bring your total rebates to at least $3000. Just be warned that the "max tow" Gladiators move very fast and will be even harder to get a good discount on.

That said you might want to consider ordering one instead. There are some dealers on this forum still doing 6% off invoice on new orders, which is a much better discount then you are going to get from a NY dealer inventory pick.

You have to first negotiate the sale price with the dealer, then get a lease quote. Lease residuals are better early in the model year, but rebates factor into the sales price, and are sometimes better later in the model year. There are dealers who will work with you, and yes, you can lease a Sport S for under $400 with $0 down.

I am positive it is possible as well. Just haven't found a dealer that wants to play ball yet. All quoting me $500's. Are there any dealers that follow these threads?

I was able to get my Sport (non-s) Max Tow lease for under $300/month with $4K down around mid April. This was from Koon's in VA. Base model, 5.5", manual windows, manual door locks, no keyless...
