So i got my residual and money factor from edmunds. but dealerships quoting me are some right near and some are way more. Can they change the residual so they make more money? Do i call them out and say that they are using the wrong residual or am i getting the wrong info from edmunds?

Some manufacturers let dealers change them, I don't know if FCA is one.
I would inquire with @spenchey , or better yet, just buy from @spenchey .

Just got another letter from the dealership I leased my JKUR through saying that want to buy me out of my lease. I haven't checked recently, but what are people paying for their Gladiator leases? I talked myself out of even thinking about getting a Gladiator for a few years, but then I saw one in person a few weekends ago and it's so awesome looking. The only way I'd have them buy me out is if I'd get a Gladiator for around the same price I currently pay for my JKUR.

The issuer of the loan (Chrysler capital, us bank, ally, etc) have their own residuals and money factors. The residual will not change through out the year but can be different from other issuers. CCAP lists a sport S 10k miles at 75% residual and i believe us bank is at 72%. But CCAP MF is .00200 and usbank is .00169. So you’re getting one bank with higher residual but higher MF and the other is lower and lower. Kinda equals out. Some dealers will mark up the MF to make extra profit. That’s why it’s very important to see everything in writing so they aren’t trying to pull anything, if they are, tell them you want the base MF. Knowledge is key before starting a deal.

Those letters are generally a ploy to get people to buy another new car. Lease prices will vary greatly depending on trim, options, trade in negative equity (if any), deposit amount, selling price vs. MSRP/residual, credit tier, etc. I would suggest using a lease calculator and your individual purchase choice. Mine was within a few dollars of what I calculated based on market residuals and money factors.

Residuals do drop slowly as the next model year approaches.
Correct. Throughout the year while it is the newest model year, the residual won’t change. As soon as the next model year comes out, the previous model year decreases in RV. My main point was dealers cannot change the residual value of a vehicle like they can inflate the money factor.
