I will be installing two 10's next weekend into my Sport and wanted to make a checklist of things to do before I begin the install. It's been a while since I put aftermarket subs in so want to make sure I have everything correct before I begin. Ive done older vehicles with outputs in the aftermarket deck but these newer vehicles are more complicated. Ill be using the BRP Gladiator box with two R2D2 Rockford subs and Kicker Mono CX800 amp. I also be utilizing the NVX XLCA2 converter. Only doing subs on this install. So is my list correct?

Tap into the speaker wire on the passenger side
Run the wire from the speaker wire to the converter
Run power wire with inline fuse to the amp and ground amp
Run power wire with inline fuse from the amp to converter and ground converter
Run remote wire from converter to amp

If I am missing something please let me know. Any help appreciated.

If you don't mind spending a little money, you can get a T Harness from NetAudio that contains everything you need. No tapping into speaker wires or anything. And it has a connector where you can run your amp back to your factory speakers without having to do a lot of wiring.

Besides the factory speaker locations, I have two upper speaker pods in the rear and one sub. All ran by two amplifiers.

Just contact them and tell them exactly what you're trying to do with your system and they wil send you a Harness already wired. www.netaudio.com

Also, be aware that when you're installing subs, be aware of the min and max recommendations for box space. The spec sheets will have that for both sealed and ported boxes. A too little or too big of a box might not give you the maximum sound/bass that you are looking for.
