Buy Amber lights, switch them on and turn off the headlights.
Don't even think about that on a public highway in Iowa. Very not legal.
You CAN supplement the headlights but not replace them with aftermarket yellow lights on our highways.

The snow is typically dry here though so it also doesn't build up heavily on vehicles while driving. Speaking of snow/ice build up, I've had many more issues with the ice building up on the windshield than I have had on the headlights. The LED headlights have been the least of my concerns while owning this truck.
It's an issue here in Iowa- but normally only when the weather is "just wrong" and the snow is wet or on the edge of freezing rain. I've had to stop my JT to clear snow out of and off of the headlights. I've not had windshield icing issues, though. I do have to run defrost on high, but haven't have an issue like I have with headlights.
