Hello everyone, I was considering LED pod lights under my running boards between the two doors, each side. I would like to tap the wiring into the bed lights. That way when I activate the unlock with the key fob, the lights under the running boards will light up. Can anyone recommend the lumens for the pot lights and any wiring tips ? Thanks !

Thank you, I did see that thread. I was just wondering if there's any potential problem tapping the wires direct to the rear bed lights wires (voltage problems or and sensor problems).

The only issue with tapping the rear bed lights is they only stay on for a set amount of time. If you ever wanted to be able to turn the pod lights on and leave them on, you’d have to run them to a separate switch.

I have an LED pod mounted under each door and tapped into the bed lights Without any issues. I was going to also tie them into the aux switches but I’ve found using the bed light switch sufficient for my needs.

Thank you for your input, exactly my idea with the bed light switch. Was just a bit concerned in about any voltage issues. Found a set LED lights on Amazon. Thanks again

I have lights that I bought and looking tk do the same.

my plan is to mount to the bed lights too.

If you want them ON you can always just use the bed light switch on the dash. Which will turn them on.

another option is to use the aux switches and also the bed lights AND the aux switches via a relay.
