I’ve only had rescues. Dogs that I got from the pound or a rescue organization and a few stray cats that found and chose me. I’m a dog guy, but also an animal lover.

Our first lab followed us home. We went inside assuming that she was a neighborhood dog and would go home. She sat in our driveway and stared at the house. I opened the door and she ran in and planted herself on a chair with a large ottoman. It was her chair for the next 13 years. After she passed we were in a parking lot when a small lab puppy came up. We opened the door and she tried to get in. We picked her up and took her home. We have a new chair and ottoman but it has been claimed. We put out fliers on both labs but never got an answer.

Love shelter pups. We sadly lost our little girl 18 months ago, and finally are ready for another. Here’s our new little guy.

After we lost out buddy Tiberius last year there was a dog-shaped hole in our lives. This guy was found in a grocery store hiding under a fridge, a family took him in but couldn't keep him. After failing to find his family, they put him up for adoption with the name Maximus.

He also thinks he's a cat and keeps jumping up on the chairs to look out the window - even climbing up on top of the piano.

We'd been gone a lot so this past weekend I made sure to take my two boys with him as I ran errands, they both had a tail waggin', nose out the window (even at 27°) good time. On our way back the two of them stood up to the window together (which really never happens). But no way could I try to snap a pic, and figured by the time I could find a place to stop they wouldn't be standing there.

I was very happy to be proven wrong by the boys... So here is Sarge & Sully!

I’ve seen so many times where the little dog acts like the big dawg and the real big dawg is graceful and allows it.

love that you call them the boys. Had my boys for 8 years before I had my other boy….now there’s three boys.

Alpha is anything but graceful. (Think Alpha from UP). They have a pretty good dynamic neither one is overly pushy to be dominant unless something comes in the yard. Then Alpha is on point. They in general get along with each other and even the cats. Complete cat head rubs and butts in faces and the whole 9. All in how they’re raised and exposed to I guess
