That would be an interesting pairing. The poodle (and doodle) is high-strung, like a self-powered rubber ball. Bernese Mountain Dogs go from one sleeping spot to another.
My male BMD is from Poland. He is as pure an example as can be to his lineage. We just recently decided to breed him because of his great personality, especially around kids. At 145 pounds, he can be a handful!

This guy is back in time out again. Came back with a wicked hole in his back foot and scratches all over him. Yowlin and all swole up again. All that damage in less than 24 hours. No idea how he survived for as long as he did on his own out here. I can recommend Silver Honey for wounds or hot spots now though. Works very well.

Sam’s or one of the pet stores carries the Silver Honey stuff. Silver and gold tube. About $25 if I remember right. I’d recommend that over the vets stuff as it probably won’t expire as soon. The pro stuff they add a bunch of stuff I can’t even pronounce. If that gets too out of date it can be detrimental. Both silver and honey have been used for centuries for their healing properties and don’t expire. I even use the pet stuff on my cuts and scrapes. I ain’t dead yet.
