I use a Rugged Ridge Dash Bar:
Dash Bar | Rugged Ridge

Basically puts a handlebar in your Jeep, so anything labeled for "bar mount" "tube mount" "bicycle mount" will work, so now I can keep it simple and shop at Walmart/Dicks for my accessories. Best option I've seen and can hold 50 things instead of 2 if you really wanted, with full freedom of where you want stuff instead of just in the middle.

I am 5'9" on a good day. I took this photo so you can see from the inside. I tried to take this as accurately as possible to what I actually see. Hope it helps.

I do sit with the seat almost all the way up, like 2 or 3 pumps down from max because I like to see the end of the hood. With this bar installed as you'll see in the picture, I still see the hood. So my only visual loss is just hood.

That said, the Anvil one that was posted earlier looks like a better version of the same idea. Cheaper too.
