If you are really looking for an incredible amount of lighting while offroad AND a ton of wind noise, I would suggest this setup:

Jeep Gladiator Light Bar and Pod Light noise - Lessons learned, regrets, solutions and options IMG_4202

We have a large amount of deer in our area on backroads at night (several close calls…not uncommon to come home and see 9 - 12 deer in the front yard). Combine that with an occasional need to light up a pasture and a rare woods or beach drive at night.

The light output is incredible due to the height and size of the lights. No way I’d install all this for use on a dusty gravel or desert road or mountain pass during a snowfall.

This is a KC light bar with four low cost 7” LED round lights that bolted right up to my AT Overland topper’s light brackets. It was a fun experiment, but the wind noise is crazy and starts around 40-45 mph. For some it’s likely bearable with the radio playing loud…

I’m going to dial back -2 lights in the middle and remove the light bar too in order to see what that does for light output and wind noise with just 2 lights up top.
