Hello everyone,
I am a new member here looking for info on adding the factory mopar Led headlights and tail lights to a sport model. I searched around and couldn’t find any threads. I was wondering if they are plug and play on a sport ? I know there may be some flashing to the computer, but do any wires need to be run ? I am thinking about trying to do the export tail lights (photo attached )With the amber turn signals as well.

Hey Man,

Welcome to the party,

Have a look through this thread:
https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/export-tail-lights-on-na-spec-gladiator.31651/

JTRUBI and a couple of us have been chasing this tail light mod for a while here, a well as a few others.

EDIT:
This thread has a diagrams of the tail light plugs. The harness configuration appears to be different for the incandescent lamps.

thanks for the update I did come across that thread, and it seemed like it went off on a tangent to focusing only on the rear fog lights which are nice, but I don’t need or want to be honest. Ide rather add flush leds in that rear bumper spaces.

You will need to flash the rear led tailights using a JScan or something like that. As far as the plug being different, my buddy did it on his sport and the plugs seemed to be the same, they just plugged right up, I wouldn't imagine why the plugs would be different.

Part number for the headlights is 82215136AE. Mine shipped today. Instructions can be found here.

As I understand it (from reading the many posts on this forum) they plug right in. They do need an additional wire for the DRL and a JScan, dealer program or Tazer may be required.

I just did the LED headlights. Tazer or programing is required. I have not run the Halo wiring in the headlights yet. factory goes in to the BCM. Other options are to run the wire to a switch or key on power. or what I am doing, I ordered American Adventure Labs turn signal harness. I'll repin it for the sport and it gives you DRL /turn and ground wires to work with

https://americanadventurelab.com/product/jeep-jl-jt-auxiliary-lighting-harness/

Without some kind of programing you may overpower the LED lights and blow them out from what I found for info. As I already have a Tazer that is the route I went. If you are going to be upgrading and want factory function a programmer is a must. Added cool stuff like strobing third brake lights and light shows are an added bonus in my opinion lol!

They look great man ! Where did you buy them from and how much did you pay ? I am also looking forward to your review of how hard it is to run the halo wires.

It is pretty damn hard to wire the halos. I skipped that as it is useless.

Yes it is plug and play. Different trims do not have different wiring harnesses.

Either buy a tazer, Jscan or something similar to flash the computer to allow LED lights, or go to the dealership and pay.

Bamwholesaleparts.com will net you the cheapest NIB sets most likely.

BAM. $737 shipped. Not sure I'm going to run the halo wires. The factory halos are much dimmer than the side DRLs. I'm not a fan of how that looks. Plus when it's time to trade in, I can remove the LED headlights and sell those complete with the harness.

Does anyone have any info on getting the OEM LED headlights working on a sport ?
Hi new here, but I just installed the OEM Tail lights and Fog Lights, everything works great!! I have a friend that works at the Jeep dealer, and I just called him, and he entered my Ven number in the computer and turned them on and it uploaded to my jeep, I just bought the OEM LED Headlights yesterday with the wiring harness, going to install these this next weekend, I will let you know how this turns out. I have done a ton of research on this, if you have the 2020 Sport S it comes from the factory with 3 wires. You have to install the 4th wire from each Lighting connector to the BCM on the passenger side. From what I understand if you have a 2021 sport they installed the 4th wire so you might have it wired and its a plug and play but have to go to the dealer and have it flashed or tased. I hope this helps a little good luck.
