Ok so a bit of an odd question so looking for experiences on pedal commander for off road. I find if I’m on an incline or wet or snow I spin real easy. Not a lot of hills here but lots of silted mud real slippery. Thinking of a pedal commander as it may make the throttle more linear less prone to spinning while winching any thoughts?

Possibly. Learning your throttle is valuable while off-roading.

I would go with the Pedal Monster over the Pedal Commander for a lot of reasons and you should do a little research both before choosing one. I have the Pedal Monster installed and I usually turn it off when I go 4wheeling. On my JT running 42s I would constantly spin the tires going from a dead stop to trying to get on the freeway or on freeway on ramps that have sharp turns right before you get on and it would turn on traction control and cut power for 15 seconds. With the Pedal Monster I was able to set the speed trim on it to lower the power the on the throttle until I get up to 15mph so it no longer spins the tires no matter how hard I press the tire and resolved my issue. I had the Pedal Commander on my F-150 and Bronco and then switched to the Pedal Monster on my JT. I had multiple issues with the Pedal Commander including it completely bricking my F-150 and leaving the Pedal Completely dead with no throttle. I wouldn't touch the Pedal Commander with a 10ft pole.

I have the pedal commander on both my jeeps and my F250.
As far as off road. I turn it off.
All the pedal commander dose is make the gas pedal more sensitive and not a good idea when crawling over rocks or in slick condition.

I had a Pedal Commander on my previous GMC CAnyon….
The Pedal Commander only changes the throttle response. Back when I had one in 2017…. there were programs you could use. Econo mode made the truck drive like a super Turd (step on the gas and virtually nothing would happen - great for your teenage drivers🤔). Or….you could use a more sporty version - it’d give more gas with minimal pedal push.

For offroad? The Pedal Commander IS NOT going to do anything for traction.
You’re better off getting a decent set of tires, being in 4WD, and /or lockers help too. There’s nothing better than gaining driver skills and learning how the Jeep acts/operates while offroad.

Pedal Monster lets you trim the low speed pedal position "boost" but I'm pretty sure it is just limiting the "boost" at low speed, not making it less than stock. At best you'll have the same response off the line as you do stock. I have a Pedal Monster but removed it. It made the pedal too touchy off the line for my liking. I liked it when at speed but not when starting out from a dead stop. I did not like the low speed trim feature. If I kept the pedal steady it added more boost as I sped up, which felt wrong, like I was pressing the pedal harder when I was not.

I'm digging through posts regarding the Pedal Monster and this is one of the first that popped up. I recently bought a '22 Mojave and looking for more power/throttle response. My last truck was Ford F150 with Ecoboost V6 so the Pentastar 3.6 is a bit disappointing. I like the way the off road+ makes it feel, does the Pedal Monster give similar throttle response as the off road+ mode on the Mojave?
