Running through mountainous terrain the 4.88 should help to reduce stress on the engine which should improve MPG. That’s the working theory anyway. It’ll also go to gears better instead of hunting so much. For trails like Rubicon and stuff the lower gearing will help crawl ratio for a more controlled progression. I wouldn’t spend the cash on 4.56, personally. I’d go for the 4.88 then if you decide you want to run a 38” or 39” later you’ll already be set up and good to run those sizes. The 2 gear ratios you asked about are right in the ballpark of being correct though. I’d just go with the 4.88.
