LOL.
Smith and Wesson owners: "My 686 shoots as good as a Python"

No Python owner ever; "My Python shoots as good as good as a 686"

People trying to make almost a Rubicon out of a Max Tow is a bad look.
Exactly!!! For my use I can make my Max Tow so much better than a Rubicon for the same price. I do understand the ease of pulling the trigger at the dealer for the most capable off the shelf off-roader pickup IMOP, the Rubicon. I don’t want to ā€œcopyā€ a Rubicon, I want something better for my use, for me. Now if only they put that Mojave reinforced frame on the Max Tow.

No matter the trim, don’t y’all feel the stare when driving top and doors off, in a pickup! Suckers ? there is nothing like the gladiator!

Since we are discussing not understanding trim levels (mentioning trim level) why the Mojave? No; front locker, No 4:10’s, No 4:1 t-case, and No sway bar dc with a similar price tag to the Rubicon.

The package seems worthless to me because you have fancy shocks and desert running reinforcements, but no power to bomb the desert. When the Mojave gets a Hemi... well then that would make more sense to me. The Raptor has the power and even the width for a factory dune bomber. The Mojave needs some power.

I have a Max Tow... Shrug ?
I swear, I don’t get people who say these Jeeps, ANY of them, have ā€œno powerā€œ. Do you have any experience at all actually driving high performance vehicles? And when I say driving, I mean DRIVING. Getting the maximum yield out of what they were designed to do. It is most assuredly NOT just about the power specs of the engine, but let’s talk about the engine. The Pentastar 6 has 285 hp. Not that many years ago that kind of power would have been restricted to the highest performance models in any car line. The Mojave, the Rubicon, the Sport all have PLENTY of power to do what they’re designed to, and then some. I live on a good old fashioned dirt road that I can see a long way on, and can safely blast the Mojave down every day coming from work, and I’m here to tell you, it’s got more than enough power to get you in a boatload of trouble if you can’t drive, or if you donā€˜t know how to catch it when that fun as hell drift is about to turn into swapping ends. Yes. This thing can drift and itā€˜s a frickin blast. I learned to drive in a ā€˜68 Dodge Coronet 440 on a dirt road, and I lived to drift that barge. This Jeep? It’s every bit as good as that old Dodge was at drifting, and it’ll climb rocks like a champ too. Would it be better with the 392? Probably not. It’d be different, but not better. I’ve got a Subaru BRZ, and am fortunate enough also to be able to drive a Scat Pack 392 Challenger whenever I want. That little 205 hp BRZ will eat the 485 hp Challenger alive on a tight road course, despite the Challenger also having the Dynamics package. In the 1/4 mile, well the outcome is more obvious. So, the point of this book here I reckon is, right tool for the right job, and these Jeeps have all the power they need and more, Mojave included. It’s more about the driver, and the right driver can make a Mojave dance like Gene Kelly when it’s rainin.

its been fun to watch the sociology/psychology of what basically amounts to ā€œPretty much a Rubiconā€
Well my point is pretty much the fact that I don’t want a Rubicon. Many of us on here can afford a Rubicon, we just don’t want the Rubicon for our particular needs and use. I do like the Rubicon, I’ve owned one. I just want to build something better suited for my needs that IMOP is stronger and more reliable after the warranty is gone. Towing is one of those needs. You bring up a valid point and there are some very valid arguments as those pertain to your original post.

I mean this was just pot stirring at its best. Pull pin....release spoon....throw and watch.

Oh yes, I’ve thrown those myself and the first time I wanted to remain standing to see if I was close to target.

To your point then, so you are trolling the Gladiator thread as a Gladiator owner. So you got the thrill you wanted.

Well just my opinion, and you know what opinions are like. Having said that, the max tow is indeed an option box, not a trim level. Thatā€˜s just the way it is. Is it a cool, cost effective option? Of course it is. But as a trim name? HORRIBLE. Sport as a trim has plenty of history on many car lines, and makes sense and sounds cool. Rubicon, Mojave, Overland, Sahara. They all sound cool as well and bring to mind great places and activities. Max Tow? MAX TOW?! C’mon. Just call it what it is, a Sport. Or petition Jeep to give it a designation that doesn’t sound like a slang term for gout.

Rubicon, no being a Troll on a Jeep Gladiator Forum when you own a Jeep Gladiator, well yes there is something wrong with that. IMOP of course.
