I wonder if they increased the initial angle out where it attaches on the bed to accommodate the 5372663849629 comments to get it to work with some sort of bed cover. I know they mentioned they have their own deck system so maybe they gave it a bit more clearance.Side by side comparison

Our JT bed rack systems will work with or without the factory trail rail system.
