Great question! The D-Switch is not currently compatible with Apple CarPlay. CarPlay is extremely restrictive—only one switch panel on the market has managed to get approval, and that was by classifying itself as a navigation app, essentially using a loophole.

That said, never say never—if there’s a way for our team to make it happen down the road, we’ll definitely explore it!

Can't wait until this is available with a Gladiator specific install kit! I've been researching different switch options, and this one takes the cake at a reasonable price point for all that it offers. Now get some out there to the youtubers so we can see some videos on installs and setup!

Thanks for the kind words!

This is actually a universal product, so you can mount it wherever works best for your setup. The controller routes directly into the cab and can be installed using our included universal bracket. That said, the most popular option we've seen is mounting it to a rail system like those from Bulletpoint or Tackform, which use 20mm ball adaptors for a clean and adjustable fit.

@Diode Dynamics got this a few weeks ago and excited to install it. Any good video or instructions that show how to route the harness through the firewall into the cabin? Still unsure if I will put it left or right of the steering wheel.

And any official/unofficial way to disable the DRL rings on the Elite/Elite Max headlamps? There are times (camping) when I don’t want them to come on. Can I just wire the fuse-tap wire (“D” in the wiring schematic) into one of the D-Switch spots and have it trigger with the ignition?

There’s a few on YT. Most go through the plastic/rubber plug thing under the drivers side dash. Fairly easy to get to if you have aftermarket fender liners. This is the one I’ll go with eventually. So many other things to do before I spend this kinda coin on lights and a switch. It looks to be worth it but ugh!!

Thanks! I had to peel back the stock liners to install the Elite Max and sequential fender lights. Still haven’t put new plastic rivets in… good timing.

And yeah, not cheap, but pretty slick. I don’t even have enough lights to fill out my OEM aux switches yet, but this will be a good base to build upon. Will make planning and installing new lights a breeze.

@Diode Dynamics would be awesome if you came out with a Bluetooth remote that we can pocket or bring into a tent or mount in the truck bed. Phone app is cool, but hard buttons are the best :)

We'll pass this request along to engineering to review!
