Midland MXT575 speaker

I am installing my MXT575 this weekend and wanted to find out if I can tab into one of the driver speakers as an external speakers. I understand that there is 3.5mm jack in the back using the following

and tap into either the top dash speaker or or the lower speaker as an external speaker. Will that work?

You can't just T into the speaker line or you will blow the amps in both radios. They make commercial splitters but its cheaper to just add an external speaker

I have the MX275, can I just add a speaker to the box output or does it need power as well? where do you guys suggest mounting a speaker? I have the box behind the glove box.

You guys know the mic has a speaker in it correct?

you can set it tovoice from the unit, both, or just the mic.
