I've tried to search for this topic, but either couldn't figure out the right wording or just couldn't find anything.

I want to add a dash camera (preferably 4k front with a rear camera), but because I also really like running without my doors, I'd like to get a Wolfbox (or similar brand) style mirror dash cam. My problem is that I also have the Adaptive Cruise Control that puts a giant box between the mirror and windshield.

I've seen a few things from FB groups, but those, more often than not, are just a bunch of assholes heckling each other the whole time.

I have learned that anything larger than ~10 inches wide, and the mirror will interfere with the visors.

Any help is much appreciated.

You will just have to search through what's available and find one with the camera on the outside or lower edge so it can see around the ACC box. The other option is to get one that can be mounted in the tray on top of the dash, or suction cup to windshield.

I get the trial and error method. I'm asking if anyone has used a roughly 10" Rear View Mirror Style dash cam with ACC.

I put in the Wolfbox G900 on my 2020 Gladiator Sport. I had the problem with the visors when it was attached to the mirror. I saw that 67 Designs had a mirror holder for that G900. I have been using the 67 Designs for my phone mount, GoPro mount and ipad holder. I used the Ipad holder to see if it would work. The G900 sits just above the dash and now doesn’t interfere with the visors and works great. Here is the product from 67 Designs.

Wolfbox G900/G900Pro Mirror Holder

SKU: WOLFBOX-ADAPT-PRO-RTS [L03044-PRO]

I ordered one and can’t wait to try it out.

That's interesting, I didn't know there was such a mount. When you had your G900 mounted to the stock mirror location was the front camera blocked by the ACC? The G900 is a 12" mirror, right?

Careful. I got the Autovox T9 Pro 9.35” and I still hit the visor.

It does have a windshield mounted front facing camera you can put anywhere.

Yeah, the visor is definitely close to the visor.

The second Pic is where I'd assume the front camera lens would be. (I took the Pic with my phone

so I'm guessing at the exact placement.

The mirror is 12” . My Sport S does’nt have ACC. Here are some more pictures of my setup.1st one is front facing camera view, and the second is looking in from the windshield. When I bought my 2020, there were not many options for mounting cell phone holders, cameras or Ipads. 67 Designs had the best option for me. Good luck on figuring all this out!

That mirror stalk sticking up would drive me bonkers. Sawzall would be doing some work if it was installed on my truck :ninja:

I run a Vantrue mirror cam, very happy with it, and it dont interfere with my visors, and the camera is on the left side facing forward, it might work out for you.
