If it’s connected to the aux port it will read from the Jeep
The usb connected device running Android auto will use the data from the vehicle GPS because it is more accurate than what is in the phone. This does not change the way the math derives velocity except that it is possibly more accurate than using your phone without a connection to the vehicle to determine the vehicle's speed.
Basically, the app on your phone is using the vehicle GPS data to calculate speed the same way it would use the phone's sensor data. It is not just showing you the speed that the vehicle thinks it is going.
