That looks very close, good job!

I expect a detailed write-up once you've finished the locker switches. ?

After a very light once over with 0000 steel wool and then a coat of flat clear (not satin as originally planned) pretty happy with this ... highlights are very slightly more yellow than factory... now to figure out which liquid mask to use for the locker switch

There is a black structural plastic piece that the painted piece snaps over ... so I had the shifter fully assembled (excluding the painted piece).

For disassembly, I followed the online videos for swapping shifters to get the shifter off. I didn't find anything about how to remove the button, but I eventually figured out that the button was simply pressed in from the front and held in by 2 snap fittings one on the passenger and one on the driver side (these are what the button pivots around). So a small leap of faith and gentle prying with a trim tool and it popped out. What popped out is the black plastic structural piece with a spring attached and the covering (painted item). The covering was held in by 2 tabs (one smaller one on top and a slightly larger one on bottom). Since the lower one had a smaller lip, I popped it off first with an awl, and then I popped off the top tab.

Then I reassembled everything except for the cover while I fiddled around with the paint.

Just do it all again from the beginning and make a tutorial video!

That would look really nice... my only concern would be with the multiple coats to get the right color that it would be a royal pita to touch-up scuffs

Man if those were solid five spokes I’d have to go in on a package deal with you!
I’m actually just doing the rock rings on my Mopar beadlock wheels for now. Trying to figure out what my final configuration will be when I get the actual beadlock rings.
