Had I known that, I would have gone that route. Im still dealing with no available part to replace the new lift kit rear shock that I bought locally from a dealership to replace the bad one that came in the Bilstein 2 inch lift kit. The problem with all of this is 3 fold. Lack of support is the one Im dealing with at the moment. Selling a kit you cant support when it fails because you dont sell replacement parts really has me pissed off. If I could have purchased a late 70s FJ 40 Land Cruiser brand new Id have paid a lot more than I did for the Glad. My 03 Rubi never failed us and we had good factory support then and never had an issue. QC and after sale support has tanked in my opinion.
I understand your frustration man, especially no replacement parts. They are treating it like throwaway items and appear to be a trend these days. I would just do a chargeback and purchase set of 5160s. Can't imaging that much different in valving, mix and match front & rear is an option too.

Might be a 5160 a better idea to do it again as with jeep parts they modify them all the time and you might never match the valving if you have to replace one by jeep. These reservoir shocks are not rebuildable and next time will get rebuildable units instead. Ive been wheeling since the late 70s and I learn something daily. Ive seen a lot of changes over the years in equipment, laws, and things closing down. Enjoy it while you can. We are in our 60s and late 70s. Still going.

We received our Bilstein 2inch Lift crate on 12/13/23 and opened it last night to prep for installing it on or 23 JT Rubi. 4.88 gears installed last week, AEV Rims and new Toyo 315s, tazer and Zeon 10S winch.
Started inventory of parts, springs ok, shock boxes soaked with oil. One box more soaked than the other and pulled the rear shock which had more oil on the box and the shock at the line to the reservoir was wet and leaking. Damn. Looked up the number of the shock, Bilstein does not list it and all the jeep parts dealers say it is not available. I have no idea of how long its going to take for this to be solved. Do I call or write Mopar Parts Giant who I ordered it through or the dealership they had drop ship the crate or do I call Jeep Mopar. Im damn sure needing this 400 dollar shock very soon and it does not seem to be even available yet. I ordered teraflex 2 inch extensions so I can get to install the kit with my stock rubi rears till this is solved but so far it doesnt look like an easy road. Every item we have purchased in the last few months has been defective and had to be replaced more than once. This looks like a repeat and Im unsure of what hoops to jump through if the single part Shock# 68605886AA-001 can be replaced at this point. I am 30 and 65 miles from the nearest dealership. Even the crate had oil on the inside so Im not installing a defective shock as it has lost a lot of oil. If I have to ship the shock back I can see it costing $50 or more dollars.
