I recently bought a slightly used ‘21 JTR that had the Mopar tro-fold tonneau cover on it. The first 2 sections latch properly, but the one at the tailgate refuses to latch.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I have a '21 Overland with the tri fold cover and have not had any issues at all. Latches every time.
Check the ends that you pull down and see if they are damaged or broken off.

I have to latch mine with tailgate open. If I try to latch it with tailgate closed, it never seems to make it. Too tight of a fit.

At first glance, it looks like the sides sag a little so the latches don’t go down far enough.

At the end where it bolts onto the bed, 2 on each side. Behind the track there is a nylon spacer between it and the bed, when I had taken it off one time I had to replace them cause they where falling apart from getting crushed. It could be that they have fallen apart causing the track to rotate.
It is tight in there to get the two hex screws out.

Thanks. Surely I can find a spacer at the nearby hardware store without having to order something from Mopar.

Not having any luck trying to locate a replacement parts package anywhere online. I may have to resort to taking it apart to see what parts I’m missing and take them to some hardware stores to find a match.
