Most likely time for a new battery?

Hey, I got the message that Aux switches weren’t available due to system charging, or something to that effect this morning when I started the Jeep. I had max AC on, so I wouldn’t have got the message about auto stop/start. It’s very likely time for a new battery, yes? Thanks.

They both need tested. Disconnect and separately charge each one. That should give you an idea on their condition. If they are near three years old, plan to replace them both soon.

They are 2.5, but I’ve had the Aux bypassed for a while…

If it is driven daily, at least thirty minutes, then the 'Not Available, Charging' message is an indicator that the battery will soon need replaced. Get a good quality 94R battery to replace the main.

It is driven daily, and 5 out of 7 days, much longer than that.

Well, it’s done. It was easy, but hard for me, as I am grossly out of shape due to recovering from a wreck earlier this year and this heat didn’t help. Interestingly, I have the tow package and Aux switches and I had the smaller factory main battery. I was surprised, as I just went and bought the big one. It fit with no problem though.
