I first reached out to Spencer Heywood over the summer after reading about his dealership on this forum. He was offering 5% below invoice on the Gladiators. As others have described, he was very responsive to my emails and provided the "Configuration Preview" sheet for my custom build to verify the price.
When it came time to order several months later, I made the rounds to both Washington DC dealers (where I was coming from) and local Iowa dealers (where I was moving to). No one came close to the price Spencer was offering.
With a simple email and Venmo of a deposit, the order was placed. Spencer continued to update me regularly as additional information came in. Order was placed on November 30th and the vehicle arrived at the dealer on February 1st. Soon after, Cathy reached out to make sure she could have all the paperwork squared away for me before I arrived. Just like Spencer, she was incredibly responsive and great to work with.
This weekend we made the 4 hour trek to Spirit Lake to pick up the Gladiator. Before we could get out of our car, Spencer was outside and next to the Jeep (it was -6 without wind chill at this point!). He had all the paperwork ready to go, offered to go over any feature(s) I wanted, and insisted on setting up my cellphone in the car before I left. From arrival to departure, it was less than 30 minutes!
First thing this morning (7:12), I already had an email from Spencer making sure that we arrived home safely and asking if I have any questions.
This has truly been the best vehicle buying experience I have ever had - including the purchase of a Tesla Model S and a Porsche 911. I would highly recommend Spencer and his team to anyone looking to purchase a Jeep!
