Red can only show at the rear or rear half - won't be legal on the mirror.anyone done this? in the interest of remaining quasi legal id like to come up with something maybe for underneath the mirror amber in front of a red

I thought only the export models got those............ is it all HAs?Or grab high altitude mirrors and wire em up
My '23 HA has them. I think they only come on with the blinkers. Adding the mirrors to any model is not difficult, it's the wiring to make the lights work that will be an issue.I thought only the export models got those............ is it all HAs?

That's what I remember - they flash with the turn signals. My '23 HA has them. I think they only come on with the blinkers. Adding the mirrors to any model is not difficult, it's the wiring to make the lights work that will be an issue.
Yeah, I thought the other post meant that the mirrors had clearance lights but I think they are turn signals, and not on with head or "parking lights".My 2022 HA has them.
Unless you have changed the mirrors or glass from the original factory install, the arrows in the mirror glass should already be wired. They are part of the Blind Spot Safety System that is connected to the sensors in the tail lights. Of course, it's possible they don't wire the arrows in the glass if the Blind Spot System is not installed.Yeah, I thought the other post meant that the mirrors had clearance lights but I think they are turn signals, and not on with head or "parking lights".
If it wasn't a pain in the butt to get wires up there, I'd wire up the arrows in my mirror glass and eventually get the housings to work with the turn signals, too.
No, I mean the 3rd party mirrors I have with real arrows for turn signals.Unless you have changed the mirrors or glass from the original factory install, the arrows in the mirror glass should already be wired. Okay, my Duramax had something like that in the mirrors. Getting it to work is the same problem as the lights in the housing exterior. No, I mean the 3rd party mirrors I have with real arrows for turn signals.
The small sold arrows are for the BSM and work.
I've had BSM on every Jeep we've owned for years. That's a solid arrow in the very top outer corner.
I don't have them wired for obvious reasons (pain in the ass to get wires up to the door connectors, pins, in through the door harness itself, out to the mirrors) but I COULD have this show up with my turn signals if I so chose. The mirrors have them, they just aren't wired -

it’ll be legal if the amber is in front of itRed can only show at the rear or rear half - won't be legal on the mirror.
Red also cannot be seen from the front of a vehicle.
The mirror lights (or any lighting) on a non-emergency vehicle must not be red or blue facing forward on the vehicle. This is FMVSS standard.
"Marker lights" are position marker lights so must be specifically colored for their place on a vehicle.
Perhaps they'd be referred to as "clearance lights" when in any position other than the position marker lights at the side corners of a vehicle.
As long as any red can't be seen by anyone in front or on the side.it’ll be legal if the amber is in front of it
