I switched to co2 a while back. So no power needed. I only bring a compressor on trips so long that there’s a risk of using it all. But I prefer bringing a second tank instead.Yeah I’m not wired for rear end use yet. (Yes I just said that) I’ll get a kit ordered and get it installed in the not too distant future. Gas prices are coming down!!
They’re rated for such high pressures that you’d need to be exploring a caldera for that to happen. Even in Moab in the summer, with it under my black soft topper, it never gets even close to its limits. Like half. I do always close the main bottle valve, and release all pressure from the regulator after use. I only want pressure in the bottle, not the regulator used to dispense it.I’d be paranoid having a tank under pressure in the back. The other thing is that these are designed to vent safely if they reach like 3000psi in the tank. So they would never explode. In the hottest conditions I’ve never seen mine above 1500. I get way more nervous with flammable stuff. If we’re camping the propane is always in the trailer. Not in the gladiator. I see co2 as being pretty benign in comparison.
