The gladiator seats are fine for short trips but ya they are terrible for long trips. Way too hard.

I'm sure I commented earlier in this thread, but to reiterate, we have these (below) on the fronts. We've driven to Glacier (~9hrs) to Grand Tetons (all day scenic route), back to Glacier, then home this summer. Yellowstone (~14hrs), Jackson (~15hrs) trips, and to Seaside (~5 hrs).

Sorry to revive an old thread, but does anyone have any recommendations for 3rd party seats that are actually comfortable? The Desert Does It kit helped but after another 6 hour drive yesterday (two-ways), I was terribly uncomfortable the final 2 hours adjusting my legs every few mins thankfully to cruise control.

Also, if anyone could answer, do 3rd party seats utilize the same rails or will my seat slammer kit be rendered useless? Would hate to lose the lowered seat height.

With a little fabrication a Grand Cherokee seat fits very well. Use your original cushon/leather and airbag. I need to tweak mine just a little more to be perfect!

The seats in my JTM are way more comfortable then the leather seats in my JLUR

I found the seats in the Mojave way more comfortable than the Willis I drove.
