I say this from two reference points of trading in my 2020 JT little over a year ago and now recently within the past month of my selling 2021 JT
Are you finished with Gladiators?

After two years, and 43k miles, mines been in for the steering box, oil pan gasket, cam shaft gasket, moisture in tail lights, and a new drive shaft that wasn't completely attached after the work on the rear engine seal. I also have a third party extended warranty that was purchased with the vehicle. I like what I've done with mine and doesn't have the quirks like newer models do.
In short, do you like what you have? Then buy an extended warranty for piece of mind.
I agree

No, in a 2022 Rubicon JT now. Probably stay pat with it for awhile unless a true Yellow color like Hellayella is offered then all bets are off. .

I ordered my gladiator (JTR) early December 2021, picked it up February 2022. First few months it was great, no real problems at all. It completely broke down on me while driving and had to get it towed to the dealer. They said it was a broken exhaust valve spring on one of the cylinders. They fixed it and gave it back to me, but there was a very annoying ticking noise so a few days later I brought it back to the dealer. It has been there about 2 months now, they replaced the pcm, then the camshaft and cam spacer after a few weeks wait time for the parts (MOPAR told them to do these repairs, dealer didn’t think it would help but did it anyway. Dealer was right, didn’t fix it.) and then when installing those they found metal shavings in the oil. So they ordered a new engine… they are probably done installing that by now, but I told them I don’t want the car back after all of that, and I wrote FCA a letter of refund (under lemon law). The dealer has been fantastic about the whole process though, when they ordered the camshaft and didn’t think it would fix it, they also ordered me a replacement jeep! Still waiting on that to be built/delivered but I expect to take that when it arrives. I also had them upgrade it just a tad as well, so we will see how that process goes.

Kbb estimate is $53k

does make me think as I go into last year of warranty is worthwhile trade in for new model
I'd just buy an extended warranty.

There are dealers mentioned on this site who sell for a huge amount off. Where it actually makes sense for anyone. Mopar warranties. Not 3rd party.

One name I have is Tom Winkles, Hayes Jeep, Kalamazoo MI
